HLF Berry Solicitors Support The Mustard Tree With Food Donation To Help Communities Across Manchester
Robin Burman, a solicitor from HLF Berry Solicitors, visited the Mustard Tree in Manchester to deliver a large donation of food kindly given by B’nai B’rith Cheshire, supporting the work that the charity does for the local communities.
During his visit, Robin helped to co-ordinate food collections and spoke about the community support work our Law Firm does and the work of B’nai B’rith Cheshire.
B’nai B’rith is an international organisation that unites Jews from all backgrounds to strengthen the Jewish community, combat racial and religious intolerance, and help the less fortunate. Robin Burman is a member of the B’nai B’rith Cheshire and solicitor at HLF Berry Solicitors and uses both capacities to support the local communities as much as possible.
“We’re so pleased to support the efforts of the Mustard Tree,” says Robin Burman.
“Myself and all the members of B’nai B’rith Cheshire enjoyed collecting all the generous food donations and I co-ordinated the food collection and delivery.
“It’s lovely to know that our donation will make a real difference to so many people’s lives in the local communities and B’nai B’rith Cheshire will continue to work with and support Mustard Tree on an ongoing basis.”
Mustard Tree exists to combat and prevent poverty, inequality and homelessness across Greater Manchester. The organisation does this through a combination of practical support, friendship and companionship, and by providing connections into work, new experiences and improved health and wellbeing opportunities.
Harry Dwan, Individual Giving, Fundraising & Advocacy Officer for Mustard Tree, comments: “Mustard Tree relies on brilliant members of the Greater Manchester community to help us keep our doors open and services running. It is because of the generosity of groups like B’nai B’rith Cheshire that we are able to support the 10,000 people a month that we see.
“B’nai B’rith Cheshire’s outstanding donation of over 740 items will help 74 families build up their shopping in our Food Clubs. This has saved Mustard Tree £1480, allowing us to help more people in more ways.
“Our goal as a charity is to help people develop and grow. It’s an outrage that any family has to rely on Mustard Tree for food, but with B’nai B’rith Cheshire’s support, we can make sure that our services are as well stocked, as varied and as dignified as possible.
“Collectively, we can help people build themselves back up.”
